We would like to invite you to a unique plein air painting workshop in oils, held on the beautiful grounds of a local rural Shropshire property.

This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to develop their painting skills or try something new. Working directly from nature is invaluable for capturing light effects and fostering quick, intuitive work.

In this class, you will learn about:

1. Selecting and editing a scene to create a strong composition.
2. Simplifying nature's complexity into large shapes of light and dark.
3. Creating a simple tonal underpainting to "freeze" a light effect before applying color.
4. Colour mixing and theory.
5. Various paint application techniques.

And not to mention have a lot of fun

£80 to include tuition, materials and refreshments. Please bring your own lunch. If you own your own oil painting brushes, please bring them.
